Toxsin-Killer Clothing was established by designer Deborah Bokelberg. She began sewing on her own at the age of 15, and being a devout "punk" in those days, she had a passion for creating the unusual from the very start. She eventually took fashion design courses at Milwaukee Wisconsin's MATC. In the years following Deborah honed her skills, experimenting with fabrics and other strange materials (astro-turf, rubber matting, hardware, tubing, wire, and anything else interesting she found in the aisles of the local home improvement store).

In 1999, Deborah moved to Chicago and began designing club wear for her own label, "Toxsin". These unique pieces soon captured the attention of a fabulously diverse population of people, including performers from the Baton Show Lounge (female impersonator stage show), the Eddy Ocampo Productions Dance Company, numerous other theater groups and musicians, and the nightclub populace in general. Toxsin's first design line was introduced at Gothcon 2001 in New Orleans, and new designs have been unveiled regularly ever since. Deborah currently resides in Orlando, Florida.
